Overview
An AODE to T5 swap is a popular modification many do. Here's how.
Parts Needed
- T5 transmission (94-95 specific)
- Blockplate
- Flywheel
- Bellhousing
- Bellhousing dust cover
- Clutch fork
- Shifter
- Shifter boot
- T5 transmission harness
- Transmission fluid
- Clutch (with pressure plate, and clutch alignment tool)
- Pilot Bearing
- Throwout Bearing
- 94-95 Clutch/brake pedal assembly
- Transmission crossmember (aode crossmember can be modified)
- Clutch cable
- All associated bolts (bellhousing, shifter, flywheel, etc)
Tips
You can either purchase complete kits from some vendors or you can put together your own kit. I would recommend putting together your own kit, for the same price as a vendor purchased kit you can install nice aftermarket parts such as performance clutch, aluminum flywheel, and short shifter. Take your time when looking for the parts and use such sites as Ebay or Corrals Classifieds.
